daily trigger moments
Put StepSpring on before the move that makes you brace yourself: the first stair, the low chair, the curb, the car door, or the errands that turn into a long day on your feet.

Set the support before the first step, so the pair is already in place when you start moving.

For the twist, plant, push, and step-out sequence — with a steadier feel before you stand.

Couch, bench, dining chair: set your support before the push back up.
“Hotel stairs are always annoying. Packed the pair for a weekend trip — straps stayed put, not bulky.”

the StepSpring mechanism
Instead of relying on squeeze alone, StepSpring combines an open-knee front, seated strap adjustment, and rear springs that sit behind the knee as you bend, step, and stand.
Two rear springs sit behind the knee area to add structured support during bends, steps, and stand-ups.
No solid front panel pressing over the kneecap area.
Adjust the top and bottom straps while seated, then stand and fine-tune for a comfortable fit.
easy seated fit
No tugging a tight sleeve into place. Sit down, line up the open front, center the rear springs behind the knee, and adjust until the fit feels firm but not restrictive.

Bed, couch, car seat, or dining chair: set the pair while seated so you are not balancing while adjusting.

Keep the open front around the kneecap and center the spring hardware behind the knee. The springs should be visible from behind.

Stand, bend once, and take a few steps. It should feel firm and secure, never restrictive. If it pinches, rubs, tingles, or feels uncomfortable, loosen it or take it off.
why it feels different
A sleeve can feel nice at first. StepSpring is built for the specific moments shoppers mention most: stairs, low seats, curbs, car exits, and errands.

Good for light compression, but it does not add rear support for step-downs, stand-ups, or car exits.

Made for daily trigger moments: stand-ups, steps, curbs, car exits, and errands, with a fit you control.
quick answers
The short version: one order includes two supports, the front stays open, the rear spring system sits behind the knee, and the straps adjust while seated.
A full pair. Every order includes two StepSpring supports, so you can wear one on the side that needs it or both together.
The rear spring hardware sits behind the knee area. The front stays open around the kneecap for a lower-bulk fit.
No. StepSpring uses a sleeve-style body, adjustable straps, and rear spring hardware, so it adds more structure than a plain fabric sleeve.

Get the StepSpring pairI was worried it would be some floppy sleeve. What arrived looks like the pictures: gray open front, straps, and the spring part on the back. I took this on my lap before trying it.

First time I made it too tight. Second try was much better. I like that I can put it on while sitting in the entryway before I go out.

I use them for the couch and dining chair. The spring part sits behind my knees and I notice it most when I stand back up. Plain sleeves never did much there.

We ordered one pair and ended up sharing it for a few days, then bought another. The rear spring placement is easy to see from behind, which helped us position them right.

Once I saw where the spring sits, the product made sense. You feel the support when the knee bends, not just a squeeze around the leg.

I put mine on while sitting on the couch, tighten the top and bottom straps, then stand up. That is much easier than pulling on a tight sleeve.

The materials looked like the photos, and the spring side was easy to identify once I turned it around.

Packed the pair for a weekend trip because hotel stairs are always annoying. They are not bulky and the straps stayed put.

My old sleeve just squeezed and slid down. These have more structure, and the open front feels more comfortable around the knee.

It works best when the black spring part is really behind the knee. If it sits off to the side, stop and adjust it. Once I figured that out, much better.

The support is good, but my calf is on the bigger side so I take breaks. For stairs and getting out of the car it still does what I wanted.

I wanted more than another sleeve sitting in a drawer. The rear spring side is visible behind the knee, and stairs are where I notice the support most.

I put it on while sitting, tighten the top and bottom straps, then stand up. Way easier than tugging a tight sleeve over my leg.

I keep the pair by the door and put them on before I leave. They are not bulky under shorts, and the open front is easier than a regular sleeve.

The close-up is what made it click for me. The spring sits behind the bend, not on the kneecap, so it feels different from plain compression.

From the back you can see the black spring part sitting behind the knee. That helped me line it up correctly before walking around.

I keep one pair by the door now. Getting out of the car is where I notice the support the fastest.

Do not crank the straps down. Snug is enough. After I adjusted it, it stayed put around the house.

We bought one pair first and both ended up using them. The pair setup is nice because you can wear one or both depending on the day.

The rear view shows what is different from a normal sleeve. I use them for hallway walks, stairs, and chores around the house.

From the back, you can see the rear spring support compared with a regular sleeve. That is why I kept them.
